摩德纳是意大利传统农业、工业重镇，也是最安全的游览地之一和历史文化名城。意大利人造出了世界上最快的跑车，摩德纳就是"法拉利”、“兰博基尼”、“玛莎拉蒂”等世界顶级豪车的总部所在地，也是著名男高音歌唱家帕瓦罗蒂的故乡，更是摩德纳香醋(Aceto balsamico di Modena) 的发源地，有意大利“美食天堂”的称号。
必须达到6%的酸度，因此它是由熟葡萄(至少20%) 和葡萄酒醋按不同的比例制成的。这种产品的厚度取决于熟葡萄的含量，当然也取决于它的陈酿时间。就像所有其他摩德纳香醋调味品一样，它越陈，它就越浓稠。它的酸度通常比摩德纳IGP的摩德纳香醋低，它是由熟葡萄醋制成的，只能用木桶陈酿。
